“ Phenomenal lunch at Shang Palace. Everything we ordered was exquisite and with the highest quality ingredients. One of the best fried rice dishes I’ve ever had which paired great with the Szechuan tofu with mushrooms, and dumplings. We are likely coming back again before we fly back home! Special thank you to the extremely kind and attentive staff, especially Steve who was our server. ”

“ Amazing atmosphere. Really wonderful food and great service. We took the discovery menu served in 7 sets of meals. The signature fried rice is mouthwatering so are the other sides like the Dim Sum and the roast pork and especially the roast duck. Thank you to the chefs and the great team. ”

“ Hidden inside the stunning Shangri-La Paris, Shang Palace is a true gem and the only Chinese restaurant in Paris (and in France!) with a Michelin star. (As of my knowledge) Everything here is perfection, from the delicate dim sum to the juicy Peking duck and blue lobster gong bao. Authentic flavors, elegant setting, and flawless service. Note: : Try the tasting menu for the full experience. it’s worth every bite! ”

“ This was our second visit to Shang Palace. We last came here in 2023 when the chef Samuel Lee Sum was head chef. The food was absolutely excellent then and some of the dishes have changed since the new head chef Tony Xu lead the restaurant with more Sichuan influenced dishes. The ambiance was great as always and we loved every dish. We had the tasting menu last time so on this occasion we decided to have a few signature dishes from the à la carte menu. For starters we had: 1. The red-rice flour rolls with shrimp - served with some soya sauce. We really enjoyed this last time so we had it again; scrumptious! 2. Sweet and sour eggplant stuffed with wild turbot fish and prawns - this was really nice and an excellent addition to the new menu. We thoroughly enjoyed this dish - we didn't expect aubergine to pair so well with seafood in this way 3. Pan fried shrimp dumplings - yummy For mains we had the chicken in black bean sauce, Mapo tofu with beef, brocollini and white rice. We were really happy with the selection for the mains. We would especially like to thank Rebecca and Steeve who served us today. They were extremely polite, attentive and made great conversation with us. They are an asset to the restaurant and should be commended for making guests feel comfortable and welcome. We will definitely come here again the next time we are in Paris. ”

“ We went to Shang Palace since today is the winter solstice. The food is very nice. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, cha siu and maipo tofu. Each dish is delicious but there is room for improvement. For example the cha siu, the meat is very tender and the taste is good. However it tastes a bit flat, kind of lacks the aroma of barbecue pork. Personally I like it a bit burnt. As for the maipo tofu, they offered two options, one vegetarian and one with beef. We ordered the vegetarian one and it tasted good. Since it is vegetarian, it kind of lacks the richness of minced pork, which is a more traditional way of cooking maipo tofu. And for the sweet and sour pork, it is almost perfect but could have been better if it has some more green and red bell pepper to enhance the freshness of the dish. Despite all this, Shang Palace is still the best Chinese restaurant in Paris. ”

“ Great service, great atmosphere and excellent food. I would say that this is one of the best Shang palace that I have eaten before. I was also given some chocolates free as dessert ”

“ Only Chinese restaurant in France with a Michelin star so we had to try it out. The starters were delicious. As main we took Peking duck but the take on the meat was not what I expected… I couldn’t taste the duck flavour anymore so would have preferred the original way. Especially since we took the aubergine platter with it which had a similar taste so hard to distinguish the two dishes… However, overall good atmosphere and there was also a live traditional Chinese musician ”
